  5. Ctrain’s course is more expensive than some others I’ve found. Why should I do yours?
Ctrain’s course is very different from what is offered by a lot of other training providers. In most of our classes there is a maximum of only 4 people thus giving you personalised attention throughout the duration of the course. This gives you the best opportunity to complete most of the assessment tasks either during class or in the days in between the 3 modules. Most people finish all their assessments within a month of having completed the course.
  6. How long does the course go for?
6 days in total. Our Monday/Tuesday course runs over 3 weeks, 2 consecutive days (Monday and Tuesday) per week. Our Friday course runs for 6 consecutive Fridays – refer to the course timetable for details of all courses coming up over the next few months available from the “Course dates and prices” tab of this website.
  7. What are the classroom hours each day?
9.30am to 4.30pm with 15 minutes for morning tea at 11am, 45 minutes for lunch at 1pm and 15 minutes for afternoon tea at 3pm.
  8. Where is the course run?
Pyrmont, near Darling Harbour in Sydney. The venue is very accessible by public transport – you will receive an information brochure showing you all the possible ways to get to the venue. For larger groups we use a training facility in the City.
  9. Is there any homework?
Yes, between each module there will be work you will need to do for the next module. You will also have to complete assessment tasks after the last day of the course. You will also be emailed pre-course reading before Day 1 of the course.
  10. Will I get my certificate on the last day of the course?
No, but it will be possible to get your certificate within 1-2 weeks of finishing the course. This will depend on how quickly you complete the remaining assessment tasks that you haven’t been able to finish during class time.
  11. Do I need to have a job to do this course?
No, you do not need to be employed to do this course.
  12. The course assessment includes practical demonstrations. Where do I do these?
All the practical demonstrations are conducted during class time.
  13. How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by a qualified trainer/assessor who will use Ctrain’s assessment tools to provide you with a range of tasks you will need to complete to a competent level.
  14. How long after the course ends do I have to finish all the assessments?
You have 6 months from the last day of the course to submit all your assessments.
  15. What support does Ctrain provide once the classroom training is over?
Ctrain offers email and phone support for 6 months after the last day of the course.
  16. Do I need to bring a laptop?
You don’t need a laptop but you are very welcome to bring one along.
  17. How do we get the training materials for the course?
A unique feature of Ctrain’s offering is that all the TAE course handouts are made available to you in softcopy before the start of each module by means of an electronic content management system.
  18. Does Ctrain run on-site TAE40110 courses for people who work in the same company?
Yes we do. If you have a minimum of 6 people who need to get the qualification we come to your premises and train your people at times which best suit your requirements. Please call 1300 473 240 to discuss.
